Elizabeth Warren went full Elizabeth Warren today at a Senate hearing

If there is a Senate hearing involving the Janet Yellen, the Chair of the Federal Reserve, then you can bet your money that Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren will be there -- and loaded for bear. Warren has a unique knack for turning rather boring hearings into moments that make progressives pine for her to run for president. (SPOILER ALERT: She's not running.)

Here's the latest example of "Warren being Warren", courtesy of a Senate Banking Committee hearing on Tuesday.

Yellen's reaction was priceless -- particularly in GIF form:

for what she is doing for me. Working her ass off and paying attention to the shenanigans that go one in the financial world. When it comes right down to it that is the most Important aspect or our government to us as citizens. If we can't trust our government who the hell can we trust

We have a lot of getting right' to do, I hope everyone is aware of that. It can't be fixed over night as there is a lot more Wrong with our government right now than there is Right with out government right now. We need to be on this like the old proverbial chicken on a june bug saying. Like my dad used to tell me, son you have to wag your own tail cause there ain't no one else going to wag it for you. Well thats sort of the mindset we need to get behind and move forward with. We have problems, serious problems that if we don't get fixed there won't even be a shell of a democracy left. Right now we're kinda' sorta' still in possession of a democracy but its fading on us fast

is simply they're bought and paid for. Kind of between a rock and a hard place, shits coming down on 'm and they're starting to show the stress

I mean it can't just keep on going on like it is. It just ain't going to happen. People are getting fed up and not just the few of us here who are. Its all across the country people are waking up to the shit our congress critters have been up too these last 50 or so years and starting to put two and two together. Starting to think about the wage disparity, the whole republiCON mindset and how its got us in this mess right now. One doesn't have to look far for enough evidence to convince them that our critters are fucking us big time, providing they've got a few brain cells to work with that is.

I like learning and I learn from her. She speaks truth. One can't learn anything listening to bullshit and lies like the 'CONs talk so I stay as far away from those kind as I can.

Senator Warren though, I'll listen to her every word every chance I get. She says the truth and thats what I want to hear. It gives me hope that someone is taking her job serious, and man o man is she not taking her job seriously. Gotta love a person like her.

I hope she has a brilliant economic mind because she is a terrible, awful speaker.

Senator Warran on the other hand needs a permanent mic and a bully pulpit. Damn. Could she be more clear and concise? She actually didn't need to read the page to quote Alvarez, she did it from memory. Her way of speaking and train of thought is so clear and smooth. I really wish she would find a way to reconsider her run. I am sure there has been quite a lot of intimidation from party power brokers.

I'd like to see Senator Warren get the General Counsel (Alvarez?) before the committee to see what he has to say for himself since Yellen was so evasive.

She has a way with words
I don't think there is another person who can go toe to toe with her, using facts, not bullshit. Thats pretty much leaves the door closed to the REPUBLIC'CONs. I don't know a soul who wouldn't be shaking in their shoes by the time Senator Warren gets though with them if she lights into like an old wet sitting hen can do as she can do. Her words pack a punch like no ones words I've ever heard spoken before

Any where she decides to be I'm with her one hundred percent, and then some if need be. Her and Bernie Sanders are the best this country has to offer. We have a few other good ones coming up like Sherrod Brown or the Castro Brothers and more. We just need to get focused on a plan and go get the damn thing. Not worry with the republicons cause we all know they'll fight it tooth and nail like they do everything thats good for the average joe or jane who make up this country. Stand up to them and take it to them not let bring it to us and them let them weasel their fucking asses out. They've been get away with way too much shit for Way too Fucking long and its us that will change that. We must get a single voice and Demand these changes. Like I said in an earlier reply, My dad always said to me that Son you have to wag your own tail because there ain't anyone else going to wag it for you. All of us are going to have to come together on a plan and go from there. I want our government to be like its supposed to be not like it is right now. What I want is what the original planers had in mind. A government of the people for the people. That ain't what we got right now. ALEC and the koch criminal brothers are writing our laws at the present time. Sitting the agenda. Thats all bullshit and has to stop or we lose out big time. A democracy will be good if we can keep it. Right now we're on the precipice of losing it

Given that a lot of politicians take the opportunity to showboat. There was a lot of showboating during the PMRC hearings but they were showboating the ignorance. Misunderstood a song about surgery & claimed it was about sadistic torture.

I also hate the boxing in of yes or no answers though getting a "yes" answer on record regarding her question probably isn't a bad thing. I was a big fan of Al Franken brilliantly using his powers to vent outrage at a private defense contractor. They deserve it over the issue they were there for & so much more. Much more.

I do wonder about a lot of the outrage I see if it is genuine, are they really outraged or.....

Given Warren's recent voting record & rhetoric, I trust her more than 99% of the politicians which actually isn't saying much. However she appears to have a cozy relationship with Massachusetts-based private defense contractors which is in my opinion a troubling & corrupt industry that ranks up there with banks & the oil & gas industry.
