Shatner tweets answers to fans' questions; remembers Leonard Nimoy

William Shatner is answering questions about his long-time friend and colleague Leonard Nimoy today using 140 characters or less.

After giving notice Saturday that he would not be able to attend Nimoy's Sunday funeral because of a prior commitment to attend the Red Cross Ball, Shatner made a promise to his twitter followers.

"So let's spend some time tomorrow celebrating Leonard's life and remembering the man," (@WilliamShatner) Shatner tweeted.

Shatner and Nimoy starred as Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock in the original "Star Trek" series that began 1966 and ran for three seasons.
