US to Deploy Six National Guard Companies to Ukraine This Week

US to Deploy Six National Guard Companies to Ukraine This Week

This may well be a sign of serious escalation using modern techniques:

Dirty Wars: The World Is A Battlefield
Jeremy Scahill

In Dirty Wars, Jeremy Scahill, author of the New York Times bestseller Blackwater, takes us inside America’s new covert wars. The foot soldiers in these battles operate globally and inside the United States with orders from the White House to do whatever is necessary to hunt down, capture or kill individuals designated by the president as enemies.

Drawn from the ranks of the Navy SEALs, Delta Force, former Blackwater and other private security contractors, the CIA’s Special Activities Division and the Joint Special Operations Command ( JSOC), these elite soldiers operate worldwide, with thousands of secret commandos working in more than one hundred countries. Funded through “black budgets,” Special Operations Forces conduct missions in denied areas, engage in targeted killings, snatch and grab individuals and direct drone, AC-130 and cruise missile strikes. While the Bush administration deployed these ghost militias, President Barack Obama has expanded their operations and given them new scope and legitimacy.

Dirty Wars follows the consequences of the declaration that “the world is a battlefield,” as Scahill uncovers the most important foreign policy story of our time. From Afghanistan to Yemen, Somalia and beyond, Scahill reports from the frontlines in this high-stakes investigation and explores the depths of America’s global killing machine. He goes beneath the surface of these covert wars, conducted in the shadows, outside the range of the press, without effective congressional oversight or public debate. And, based on unprecedented access, Scahill tells the chilling story of an American citizen marked for assassination by his own government.

2. It's RT with a different branding. Sort of like the Plymouth Voyager to the RT's Dodge Caravan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sputnik_(news_agency)

Sputnik is an international multimedia news service launched on 10 November 2014 by the Russian Federation owned and operated agency, Rossiya Segodnya. Sputnik replaces the RIA Novosti news agency and the Voice of Russia international radio broadcaster.

Radio Sputnik is the audio element of the platform and aims to "operate in 30 languages in 2015, for a total of over 800 hours a day, covering over 130 cities and 34 countries on "FM, digital DAB/DAB+ (Digital Radio Broadcasting), HD-Radio, as well as mobile phones and the Internet."[1]

The news service also operates a television channel in the United Kingdom.[2]

Reception[edit]

Alexander Podrabinek has called Sputnik a tool of Russian state propaganda distribution abroad,[2] and has likened it to a pro-Putin version of the Daily Mail and described it as "anti-Western".[3]

4. My family actually had a Dodge Caravan for roughly the same amount of time.

Believe it or not, it actually was a pretty good car, albeit underpowered as you note. My dad drove it for about 250,000 miles, with the first 200,000 with relatively few problems.

Not what one would call a sexy vehicle though.

Used it for camping and kids carpools.
My current '03 Corolla is at 299,300.
Sadly will never show 300,000, as computer maldesign, which Toyota will not fix for free, stops odometer at 299,999

9. So tell us all how it is innacurate?

Because no msm media outlet does not distort information.

I don't fully trust any media outlet. Neither do many scholars and progressives. They are all compromised, just through different mechanisms.

Evening news is the worst. Emotional and purposely vague and tabloid.

8. Yes I knew it was sputnik. I had read it in other places as well

this was just the first one that I found the actual deployment timing etc.

So is the reporting false? Then provide the alternative.

Have you ever read up on modern propaganda. We are a country under soft oligarchic / corporate control. You bet there is propaganda in our media, especially when it comes to foreign reporting.

It is not wise to trust *any* MSM media source fully or exclusively. They are all tampered with in one way or another or under heavy editorial control by people who's interest or politics collude with government. At worst they can actually make news when it is in their interest.
