Did anyone see Real Time last night? Was it a repeat? (Original Post)

OP
I think it was a repeat. My PVR skipped it, and I have it set to auto record.

(38,613 posts)2. It was new. Matt Taibbi was the one guest I recognized, but it was a good show.
The first interview was with a guy who just released a book about Scientology.

(54,770 posts)3. Nope, it was new. Pretty good I thought, with no Muslim or vaccine bashing.

(206,157 posts)4. David Axelrod was also on the panel. It was a new show
Better than many, IMO.

(20,453 posts)5. I wasn't particularly enthused by his shtick this time around...
Taibi didn't participate much. The woman associated with yet another right wing think tank wasn't a barn burner, either.
I think they could have done much better. Bill looks tired.

(23,664 posts)6. No, it was actually pretty good (for a Bill Maher show anyway)
The right wing woman on the panel was a particularly dim bulb and Matt Taibi and David Axelrod easily deflected her attempts at relevance.
The guy who came on at the start and talked about the book he wrote on Scientology was damned interesting and confirmed everything I've ever heard about that goofy cult.
I'd more or less given up on Maher, but my wife had it on and I sat down to watch and it really was OK.
