Inviting the leader of a foreign nation to speak to the congress was a defacto coup d'etat - a hit on the state and it's legitimate leader.

How do we know the letter won't undermine future operations now? This could end up hurting our troops in the long run. I know nobody is thinking about that on the GOP side. But YEAH we are at war and gosh what was all that about not even QUESTIONING the POTUS actions during a time of war?

Like I said, from what I've read the authoritarians think it was treason.

And yeah probably not treason either...but pretty dam close. You would think after the Bibi stunt, they would try and be a little less offense. I guess they want to double down.

They can be assholes, and hate America enough to sabotage a peace agreement, but the President is still just as much the president as he was, and his authority hasn't changed.

They push the envelope of propriety all the time, and continually get away with it. If there's no one who will come after them, there's no incentive to restrain themselves.

THEY ARE BULLIES AND ANARCHISTS. Wake up!

Because the events of the past few days make no sense, politically or otherwise. I don't get it, unless it's the start of something bigger.

Stay tuned, I guess. We'll get to watch them fail in real-time.

The 47 will get positive support from the 47% who would vote their Party into the Executive Branch. Cotten is gonna erase Cruz and Paul as serious players for the Republican nomination. Soon, Sarah Palin will endorse him as the serious, honorable person to represent their party. I look forward to that.

the possibility of an enemy's attempt to cause a nuclear winter is damn treason. Not the ideas or words of a lunatic but the words of courage in the face of cowardice. These Tea Bangers need to be condemned before they condemn everything this country was founded on. Cotton can kiss my ass.

We are losing our form of governance due to run away Presidents like Bush and now Obama. One is no better then the other, both tried to rule over an whole nation of people with little regards to the common welfare of all citizens not only those belonging to one party over the other. People our nation is in some serious trouble here...President Obama has done far worst then President Bush who set all this up to begin with.

We should not hope for one person to tell a whole nation what he is going to order us all to do, governance of our nation should be done thru all 3 branches of our government frame. We are losing America behind these parties and their crowned rulers they keep putting in place to take her from us all. Wake up and think Country before party or we are doom to keep losing her behind a party system which could care less about any of us, Wake Up people!

and history will show that the people of this country did not respond, either because they didn't recognize it (and the corporate owned MSM helped to mute acknowledgement) OR people simply didn't know what to do. Other countries who have had a lot of experience with coups were probably dumbfounded that we let it happen without incident. It was not simply a political party coup but rather a corporate hostile takeover. The OCCUPY movement at least demonstrated that people have awareness of the true source of the problem. Now we are seeing a second wave of this aggression that will finish off the rule of law and defeat any remaining faith for the general populace in an operable and effective representative government entirely by showing our laws and protocols to be insignificant.
