This would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. Here we're worried about Hillary's emails, while

the right-wingers are making overtures for a coup.

Why do we continually apply the rules more stringently on Democratic politicians, than we ever do to the GOP? I'm not saying that we shouldn't look the other way when one of our party members goofs. I'm saying that the GOP's illegal actions may have given Hillary some wiggle room.

Someone, please, put this in perspective.

That's all I can figure out. If the country is broken enough it'll swing to favoring what they really want. Sadly, the truth is if the new norm is the extremist in the Republican party, then the balance in the Democratic party will be far more conservative. Those moderates in conservative areas many Democratic people hated kept the balance from becoming as off as it is right now. Now we're seeing the reality of the situation in action and it's not pretty.

a former Secretary of State who might be running for president says more about the emails than about the Senate doing the President's business in foreign affairs.

Republicans, when caught doing something, just stand there and dare you to make something of it. Their constituents love the phony Dirty Harry heroism.

Democrats, when caught, whine and apologize. It never works.

The Republicans sure as hell aren't going to police themselves so really it's up to the Democrats to lead by example.
