The only surprising aspect of that Republican letter to Iran

is that they did it publicly.

When backstabbing Republicans deal with foreign powers behind the Democratic President's back, they usually do it in secret. Like Nixon's secret talks to prolong the Vietnam War, the Reagan/BushI Iran-Contra dealings, etc. It just shows how much times have changed to see that they are now emboldened to do their dirty work in the open.

that it was all spelled correctly.

But that it was done publicly is a surprise too.

Makes you wonder what they are actually doing behind the scenes while we're distracted by email and this letter.

with the narrative they want repeated.

What do you think Poppy Bush had in mind when he brought in two of his trusted fellow global fascists like Rev Moon and Rupert Murdoch to expand their empires into the US media market?

Why would a longtime CIA guy like Bush tap a Korean cult leader and an Australian extortionist to develop a disinformation network that would craft propaganda to appeal to the RW mindset of the GOP voter base?

Want to know how many of those voters KNOW exactly who developed the 'news' sources they now rely on for the bulk of their information about this country and its governance? Probably less than 1%.

Bad Moon Rising: How Reverend Moon Created the Washington Times, Seduced the Religious Right and Built an American Kingdom

by John Gorenfeld, Barry W Lynn (Foreword by), Barry Lynn (Foreword by)

What does it say about American politics when a famous 1970s cult leader publishes a Washington newspaper, dresses up in the U.S. Senate offices like King George III, and no one in D.C. seems to care? One night in 2004, at one of Washington’s most outrageous dinner parties, members of Congress bought a shining crown and robes to a billionaire mystery man who calls himself the True Father: the Reverend Moon, sushi mogul, conservative philanthropist, and publisher of the right-wing Washington Times.

I believe it is a mistake to separate them and Democrats in power now need to
consider the threats to our democracy and put voice to it...this should not be
dismissed on any level.
