Hillary, old and all-too familiar?

Hillary’s testy press conference
Mother Jones magazine’s David Corn: “bad news for anyone hoping that Hillary 2016 has learned from the miscalculations of the past.”

... she did nothing to de-escalate a decades-long war with the news media that has been waged, with varying degrees of intensity,
since she was first lady of Arkansas and her husband Bill was governor.

Among the (Clinton) weaknesses are a sense that the ends justify the means, a sense of entitlement, and a sense of grievance and paranoia ...

During Tuesday’s hostile engagement outside the UN Security Council ... the helmet-haired Clinton looked girded for battle—
her sparkly-gray power suit the fashion equivalent of chain mail.

“It is, unfortunately, an old and all-too familiar story,” Corn wrote.

As yesterday's Press Hoards lay in wait for their shot at hard-hitting-questions-American-people-want-to-hear, they ended up looking like a bunch of L.A. papparazzi chasing down the kardashians.
Hillary Clinton had just spoken to the UN as to womans issues. She has a solid respectable rapport among world leaders. The serious National Security issue of 47 traitors in the Senate lead by the GOP war monger & sellout Sen Cotton was all moved aside for the chance of maybe one of the hundreds of Press members chasing down a opportunity to catch this Bright, Accomplished World leader in a possible "gotcha" question that might impress the corporate bosses they work for.

Holy shit..and here comes another one writing their hard hitting opinion piece about Hillary's hairdo.

It isn't that the bar is set lower than ever before as to the media, but apparently it has been removed all together.

Ignorant cheap hit piece written for "like me" clicks online.
And it now appears there is a low intellect market for this hard hitting opinion piece.

This deserves the trash bin.

setting up this presser for YESTERDAY of all days.

Who woke up yesterday morning, read the headlines about GOP betrayals, and said, "What a perfect day for HRC to hold a press availability."

If the issue wasn't urgent enough to address on Monday then it wasn't urgent enough to address the next day - on the best waking up to anti-GOP headlines we've seen in years.

I do see the media today is a bit quieter since her appearance.
Probably, cuz there was no red meat there after all for them to gnaw on.
And they all went home with zip.

THAT is what I have a problem with. Her earnest supporters need to show discernment when they so casually dismiss any honest observations as mere bashing. It's not bashing Clinton - it's observing what a huge miscalculation was made by her media advisors when they woke up yesterday morning.

A rather stupid metaphor and an even worse reason to vote for someone, if you don't mind me saying so.

I find ageism deeply offensive, especially ageism mixed with sexism, because our society allows men to age gracefully and why
a seventy five year old Sean Connery was thought to be sexy, sans hairpiece or with one, when there are really no corollaries for seventy five year old actresses.

And I must demur from your remarks about Coca Cola and its effect on the palate. It leaves a great taste in my mouth. It tempers the aftertaste of the Jack Daniels, if you don't mind me saying so.

Whether you like HRC or not ageism sucks and with a woman it's on steroids because it's mixed with sexism and how she looks.

I have seen posters say she looks old...Well, she looks like a sixty seven year old woman.

Whether young or old, your age has no relation to the validity of your ideas and your principles. And, of course, as you said, there is always a virulent undercurrent of sexism when it's a woman.

And agreed, she looks normal for her age (a pretty dang impressive accomplishment for all she's been through, too). Those attacks are 100% pure, filtered, organic BS.

Not a Clinton fan, but I'll happily call sexist attacks on her for what they are.

During Tuesday’s hostile engagement outside the UN Security Council, where a mob of more than 100 reporters yelled questions at her, the helmet-haired Clinton looked girded for battle—her sparkly-gray power suit the fashion equivalent of chain mail.

Attacks on appearance are not okay, especially in light of the fact that women are roundly criticized for it constantly with almost no attention payed to male fashion.

Also, the use of the word "testy" to describe her presser is a sexist use of the word. It may not sound like it, but that kind of adjective is almost always used to describe a woman, and carries a lot of connotations harkening to the stereotypical b****.
