The Swiftboating Of John Kerry, Hanoi Jane, Dixie Chicks.....

John Kerry was a decorated war hero that the Repugs attempted to whitewash and discredit. They were seemingly successful in that he lost the election. Hanoi Jane and the Dixie Chicks spoke out AGAINST war and were whitewashed and discredited.

These people weren't real threats to the country. The controversies that surrounded them where made up, contrived.

On the other hand this letter to Iran by the 47 U.S. Senators is a 'REAL' threat to this country and perhaps even the world. It was designed to destroy a peaceful process to prevent war and used to actually fuel and foment war.

How can we give these Senators and now some of the Repug presidential contenders that are signing on and agreeing with this letter a pass - when for years they used contrived situations to damn others that were against war and killing?

these despicable low-lifes keep getting away with it. I think that Dems are caught off-guard by the tactics which they will stoop to.

I feel like I'm seeing blowback in today's news. Are you?

What about Jon Stewart's new meme (didn't see his show last night) that this is analogous to Pelosi visiting Assad during Bush's presidency? Is that gaining any traction?

The media is a major problem, they are under the illusion they are not there to educate. With all of the crap reality programming proves my point.

A reason for politicians to run for office is for the power, certainly not the money. When it cost thousand times as much to run for the office than it actually pays, that is way too much. Time to take the money out of running for office i.e. real campaign reform.

White Collar crime pays and pays very well, just ask the financial industry. With 'money being the root of all evil', the 'to big too fail', is in itself a failure. Lets call it what it is a, 'a fucking failure of the worst kind.' Break up the monopolies of power, media and money. This country and the world will be a lot better off...

The work of the people of the U.S.A. is going to be a long hard road!
