No, Really: Lawmaker Busted For Sexting With Woman From Weiner Scandal

In a tabloid-worthy twist, a Democratic lawmaker in Indiana has been busted for sexting with the same woman who brought down former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) two years ago.

Indiana state Rep. Justin Moed (D) admitted on Tuesday that he sent sexts to Sydney Leathers, the woman who sexted with Weiner in 2013, the Indianapolis Star reported Tuesday night.

Moed, who is engaged and planning a September wedding, apologized in a statement to the Indianapolis Star.

"I am truly sorry I have hurt the ones I love most with my poor judgment. I am committed to rebuilding trust with my family and my community. This is a private matter and I ask for it to be treated as such. I apologize to my constituents and to everyone I have let down," he wrote in the statement.

The New York Post initially reported last week that Leathers exchanged sexts with an unnamed lawmaker. Leathers then confirmed to Fox411 that she sexted Moed after TheDirty.com reported that Moed responded to one of Leathers' ads seeking a sexual partner.

whom she could "financially dominate." How much sense does it make to get involved with someone like that? I haven't seen her picture, but I don't care how hot she was. Getting involved with someone like that makes no sense.

What your fiancé has to say may be private...but the matter is not, sir.

America is falling apart with Koch, ALEX, SCOTUS shenanigans, and he has time for this? On our dime?

This "sexted" woman has now enticed two elected officials... Suddenly what comes to mind here is a Lewinski-styled take down... so is this woman an employee of some noted benefactors of RWNJ fame? I always suspected Lewinski of being a rupug troll, she had to pay for college somehow... and being slipped several grand under the table to entice a targeted official would be an easy way to handle that for some people with little to no scruples.

Makes me wonder about that stuff. Can't put any filthy, dirty tricks past the opposition.
