Puppy, Kitten Rescued Together After Keeping Each Other Warm In The Rain

?w=650

Friends who stick together even on the coldest of winter days are the best friends you could possibly have.

That's why this story of a puppy and kitten who cuddled to keep warm until the Michigan Humane Society stepped in to rescue them both together is among the sweetest stories out there.

When Chris Ouwerkerk, a rescue driver, learned of the abandoned pals he quickly arrived at the scene and found them together hiding in between two garbage pails to keep warm and dry.

At first he only found the puppy, but his kitten friend let out a loud meow before Ouwerkerk could leave - signaling that the kitten wouldn't let him go alone.

At 1:18, the pup is just licking the heck out of the kitten, who is rubbing up against the pup. Cuteness overload!

Oh...that picture...and such a story. Ya know, it's a happy ending but just put a pit in my stomach and tears in my eyes, when I think what could have happened.

In my getting-older-age, any abuse of the "critters" makes me sick.

But when it comes to people that abuse or neglect...well I want their ass kicked.

Good story...great picture.
