Aides to 47 traitor Senators: Our letter was "cheeky." Where's your sense of humor?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/03/10/republicans-admit-that-iran-letter-was-a-dumb-idea.html

Republican aides were taken aback by the response to what what they thought was a lighthearted attempt to signal to Iran and the public that Congress should have a role in the ongoing nuclear discussions. Two GOP aides separately described their letter as a “cheeky” reminder of the congressional branch’s prerogatives.

“The administration has no sense of humor when it comes to how weakly they have been handling these negotiations,” said a top GOP Senate aide.

but it seems to be straight forward reporting. Or am I being punked? I can usually tell the difference.

Assuming this is real:

Someone actually thought this was funny? Like messing around with negotiations regarding nuclear bombs is a lark?

Kind of like pulling the fire alarm at the middle school dance, and then wondering why all the adults are so annoyed, doncha think?

Two thoughts:

1. Conservatives can't do humor.
2. These people are dangerous.

OK a third thought:
Time to take away these boys' and girls' phones, disconnect the internet, suspend their facebook, twitter and instagram accounts, and ground their asses. They want to act like immature 7th graders, I think we should treat them as such.

in other words: Grow the Fuck Up!

less offensive if it was just a big gag. Trying to sabotage important foreign policy negotiations is twice as bad if you're just doing it flippantly.

For chrissake, it's like a bunch of frat boys are running the show.

They get busted and now trying to profess it is a joke with a country that is holding on to nuclear weapons.
