(108,994 posts)Jindal tweeted this comment after Vice President Joe Biden denounced the letter, created by Iraq veteran and Harvard educated freshman Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark: "@VP Biden owes @SenTomCotton an apology. He wore the boots in Iraq. He's earned our attention, not your insults."
Here's what Biden said in the statement that generated Jindal's ire: "The decision to undercut our president and circumvent our constitutional system offends me as a matter of principle. As a matter of policy, the letter and its authors have also offered no viable alternative to the diplomatic resolution with Iran that their letter seeks to undermine."
"It would be a dangerous mistake to scuttle a peaceful resolution, especially while diplomacy is still underway."

(24,720 posts)a jerk, who eposes the pro-life movement but turns right around and could have placed our citizens and the citizens of the five countries trying to work out a deal in Iran in danger and is a hypocrite right along with the 47% in the senate that are following the leader of the lemmings over the cliff, and for him to get a pass because he is a veteran don't think so, he is irresponsible and is a political hack that went to a meeting with the same companies and there lobbyists that sell and make weapons of mass destruction and to pad his reelection campaign coffers already, this speaks volumes on this mans character and his self interests, so his pro-life stand is full of holes, he doesn't care about life except if its not self serving for TOM COTTONS, greed

(14,537 posts)When the repukes do it, they make sure they lie and smear. Because of this Cleland lost his election.
Denigrating Mr. Cleland became fashionable in Republican circles in the fall of 2002, when his opponents ran television commercials that flashed his face on the screen with Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. That ad offended The Gainesville Times , a daily newspaper in northeast Georgia, which called it misleading, offensive and an irresponsible and repugnant attack on Clelands character and sense of patriotism.
