But right-wingers sometimes blame society when people they hate commit bad acts. Righties do this when the bad acts can be blamed on someone they hate even more.
We're seeing this on Fox in reference to the Ferguson police shooting:
Fox News' "Outnumbered" co-host Andrea Tantaros said on Thursday that Eric Holder is "an attorney general for the criminal" while arguing that the Obama administration is at least partially to blame for the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Mo., early Thursday.
"Eric Holder has proven, time again, he is an attorney general for the criminal, by the criminal, and of the criminals in the United States of America," Tantaros said.
More:
The Department of Justice has been inflaming this for a long time, Tantaros [said], arguing that the DOJ intentionally escalated its rhetoric out frustration with its inability to charge Officer Darren Wilson. Eric Holder has proven time and again that he is an Attorney General of the criminal, by the criminal, and for the criminals...They have taken this country back 50 years in terms of race relations.

Coming from a Faux News host his means a lot. The GOP and their Tea Party cohorts have been trying to "take their country back to about 1850". But no matter how stupid they sound, no matter how removed from reality, there are many who depend on Faux News for their daily dose of hate. And they vote.

(42,641 posts)I have a relative who is also addicted to Fox. She sends me occasional emails she receives from her fellow Fox-addicts. I generally send her things from a left wing point of view to see if her head will explode. To date I have had no success.
The real question is how to convince people who rarely vote that it really matters?
Even here at DU there is much "I will not vote for Hillary because she is too DLC for me" talk. My view is always vote for the best available candidate. That may not be the best possible candidate but the best available DEM is generally far better than the best GOP.
Keep up the posts and the pictures.

My mom. A democrat. She is 88 years old.Love her, she does poll duty. My dad I convinced him to vote Obama in 2008, then he convinced his wife. He was not able to vote in 2012. He had Alzheimer. He passed away recently at 92 years old.
sigh.
I am so tired of fighting. It should not be this hard.
