Bill Maher: Hillary Email Scandal Is Just 'Bulls**t' By 'Stupid Infantile Press'

Comedian Bill Maher clashed with panelists on his show Friday night by saying that the Hillary Clinton email scandal has been nothing more than "stupid infantile bullshit from our stupid infantile press."

Maher scoffed at panelist Arianna Huffington's suggestion that the former secretary of state acted defensively during a recent news conference in which she talked about why she conducted official business at the State Department using a private email server.

"I could not disagree more. Absolutely not," Maher told the Huffington Post founder. "She looked liked someone who just is used to taking her beating like a man."

"When I watched it, I thought this is going to serve her well because that's what America is all about," the comedian said. "It's not about issues. It's just -- can you take your beating over stupid infantile bullshit from our stupid infantile press? And she said 'Yes I can. Yes I can.'"

Huffington said Clinton needs to get used to the idea that the media is going to scrutinize her. "She looked as though she would rather be anywhere else," Huffington said. "More important than that is she really needs to realize that's how the press is going to be."

"Of course," Maher said.

Arianna was not a cheer leader for the Iraq War at all. She was very opposed to it. Bluenorthwest Mar 2015 #15

It's a non scandal just like Benghazi, and a waste of time and money.

Because I've been waiting for that for a long time. They control the Congress, Supreme Court and most of the media.

Didn't she trail Gary Coleman and a porn star when she ran for CA governor?

for no good reason - a good taste of the right wing - and yet she expects Hillary to love being grilled

and a porn star did in fact run, and the porn star got 11,179 votes, Coleman 14,242. Huffington placed fifth with 47,500 votes and by the way, Van Jones key on her team.
