Question: Why are so many right-wing websites teeming with pop-ups and adware?

Whenever I've ventured onto some conservative website, I've noticed more often than not, those sites are bogged down with adware and pop-ups, a few that have even escaped my pop-up blocker.

Is there some correlation between shitty politics and shitty web design?

I suppose it's one more incentive not to waste your time on those places.

so I can't comment on them, but I love it that on DU, I only have to give a little money every so often and I never see ads here.

propaganda and Fox cash dependent sites popping up in very rude ways.

I used to think these ads was funny, now I forget how annoying they were at DU...let HP keep them without opt out options.

Worth it.

Hope that helps.

People who are willing to be defrauded politically are willing to be defrauded financially.

But sometime when there's a link to something a conservative said that's posted exclusively on a right wing site, I hold my nose.

Has nothing to do with poor web design and everything to do with revenue. The advertiser pays the web site (host) every time someone clicks.

I suggest a good ad-block program and malware filter.
