Tonight ABC Evening News reported Shark Tank investors refused to take on an inventor's work

unless he took his product to China first for production. I can't find a link for this story yet but the man was from North Carolina and had invented some folding rack for pickup truck beds. He specifically repeated over and over that he wanted his product to be made in the USA. They flat out refused to invest because he would play by the rules so that he could get the product priced down for the US market. Apparently, an American producer saw that episode of ST and called the man and let him know that his company would be able to get it into production for sale at a reasonable price.

It was an astounding report to watch. I'll provide the link as soon as I can find it.

This is a link to an article about the guy but not the report I saw on ABC:

A couple had invented a sippy cup for kids and they held them hostage to an agreement until they said they would manufacture overseas. Pissed me off royally.

have no moral compass. If the ship jobs out of the country then they should be taxed and taxed coming back into the country. They can't pass it on to the customers either. Who the hell do these corporations think are going to buy this stuff.

emotional about it. He didn't even seem to want to personally benefit from it. Just wanted to create jobs for Americans. I felt a bit sad because the Shark people treated him like he was stupid for wanting to have it made in America.

thanks for the update.

Every one of them wanted an off shoring component. Americans would be stunned at how moneyed interests have worked overtime to strip the country of good jobs.
