I was a committeeperson for years in my old neighborhood, but ever since I moved in with my dad to take care of him, I've been out of the loop -- volunteered at the polls, but not really part of the system.
The guy who had the job is retiring from it, and offered it to me. I'll still have to run eventually, but doubt I'll face much competition. Glad to be a more formal part of the Obama and Casey re-election team.
Here's a shout out to all the DU folks who work in the trenches!

Been on the district committee for several election cycles, now. Civic duty. Kicked
