Donald Trump Claims Authorship of Legendary Reagan Slogan; Has Never Heard of Google

....

Trump not only gave Cruz a hard time for being born in Canada, but also claimed that Cruz ripped him off by using the line, "Make America Great Again."

He said:

"The line of 'Make America great again,' the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody's now using it, they are all loving it," Trump said.

"I don’t know I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it."

Donald Trump must never have heard of Google. Every campaign trail reporter has heard that line at least ten million times, in years prior to last year, from a depressingly large number of other politicians.

But let's just start with the obvious: Ronald Reagan made "Make America Great Again" a backbone of his campaign. He and Bush even used it on a button:

The truth is of no importance to him.

The Republican party would disappear if their politicians did not lie.

Their entire platform is based on lies.

If only their supporters were smart enough to know they are being lied to.

They are still pushing Supply Side Economics (trickle down).

We have decades of facts and data that prove what a failed policy this has been.

They can still sell it to their constituents.

I doubt he had the slightest inkling that Reagan or anyone else used that line. If he said, he must have been the one to think of it first -- that's the way he rolls.

what period are we referring to. The nation was founded when Slavery was legal, not so great. Slavery finally ended after a civil war that killed over half a million people. Freedom was finally a right for all citizens, unfortunately for the newly freed people, their country was in ruins and they were soon segregated to second class status. We also killed and or displaced millions of the original Americans that were here before the colonies were set up.

We fought two world wars, with the help and bravery of all our second class citizens, and they then returned to live in segregated communities, again as second class citizens. Eventually universal suffrage was extended to all citizens at the start of the twentieth century, but still a long way from Great America as unions were brutally repressed, segregation still legal and women had no control of their own bodies. Not to mention the great depression that brought this nation to its knees.

So my question remains, What period of history do we want to return to to make America Great Again.

That's not a snarky comment by me - this is completely genuine:
