Q: Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president? Do you approve/disapprove strongly or somewhat?
Q: Overall, do you support or oppose the federal law making changes to the health care system? Do you feel that way strongly or somewhat?
Q: If the 2012 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (Barack Obama, the Democrat) and (Mitt Romney, the Republican), for whom would you vote?

(417 posts)I've been encountering more & more people who support President Obama that I would Never have figured them for. And, this is in a very Southern state. If one gets hit hard enough, evidently, their eyes pop open.

(77,807 posts)....... and really makes me wonder about some of those earlier polls indicating that a majority of people opposed the health care law, especially when you consider that Virginia is hardly a liberal fortress state.

(6,006 posts)The Democratic strategy should obviously be to run HARD against all the Republican governors on their records. Wisconsin, Florida, Virginia are all great models of what Republicans do when in power.

(10,893 posts)why are there 9% of Republicans who said they'll vote for Obama, and 6% Democrats voting Romney? Shouldn't this make those people be considered of the opposite party?
