Poll: Simple question. Do you think that states will become more polarized

as some are clearly more liberal and others clearly more conservative. I've lived in a number of states over the years, and at one time many seemed similar, at least some, but now, they seem very divided. And that division appears to be increasing.

My hunch is the polarization of states will continue to grow, even to the breaking point between some, whatever that means.

What do you think?

every state have people who are decent, and believe in what is fair for everyone. Not all are religious zealots, nor preach hatred and discrimination. Though, I have to admit, with Hate Radio, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News, it has become harder for many people to live their lives without being exposed directly to hate.

San Francisco. Right now it seems to be one of a few sane places in this country.

Let's face it, if you know you're going to go somewhere else, and you're not forced to move to an 'opposite' state by a job, for instance, aren't you more likely to move to a state that suits you politically?

what they are about. I think today with better communications many people will migrate toward states they like probably increasing the polarization in the US. I'm just wondering where that might lead in the future.

better communications, know what various states are about and will move to those of preference further and further driving division between states. I often wonder what the landscape of the US will eventually be.

Once things go too extreme (like they just have in Indiana) the pendulum swings the other way. When polarization goes too far, it will be rejected and sanity will eventually prevail.

1. They are cementing the decision by SCOTUS for gay marriage, at least indirectly.
2. I think a lot of people are really getting fed up with this religious nonsense trying to override the constitution and the rights of individuals in a fair and equitable manner.
