I haven't seen any and I don't care to - I don't watch TV so it doesn't really matter to me

And, of course, the selected tweets today.

I found him amusing, and his "puzzled by Americans' thing could work nicely at the Daily Show. That's what John Oliver did as well: the perpetual WTF moment.

Having never seen Stewart or Oliver do stand-up, I can't really judge his host-worthiness from that.

There is no working comedian today, male or female of any ethnicity they could have come up with who wouldn't have upset the professionally outraged.

If I recall correctly Jon Stewart's 90's standup would definitely be considered at the very least insensitive. I recall jokes about the special olympics and use of the "other" f-word.

I have also watched several of his videos on YouTube. I did not see the Tweets until this morning after I watched his other material and I am glad. His tweets are not representative of his full act, he is a very funny guy with a lot of insight into what it is like to face discrimination.

He grew up in apartheid South Africa with a mixed race family that could not be seen together in public because mixed race families were illegal. A few inappropriate tweets don't change the fact that this guy has a lot of insight into what it is like to face oppression and he can talk about it in a way that will make you laugh while also recognizing the injustice.
