Republican foreign policy strategy failing miserably...

Their strategy is so out of touch with reality that it even leaves the most gullible shaking their heads in disbelief.

For the first time in a long time, Republicans may have to desert their argument as the strong protector of our national defense. They look weak and incompetent in their attempts to portray Barack Obama as weak on defense. It's a very hard sell.

Mitt Romney said, of course, he would have gone in and gotten Bin Laden just like Obama did - it was a no-brainer - even Jimmy Carter would have done it. But would he have done it the same way? Judging from his past comments and the last 10 years of Republican foreign policy, he would not have gone in and gotten Bin Laden. Bin Laden would still be watching old TV re-reruns and arguing with his wives in his Pakistani compound...

No doubt, they would like to tear down the strongest points of their opponent, in this case, a strong Commander-in-Chief. It worked against John Kerry. Why shouldn't it work against Barack Obama? It's really apples and oranges. The reality of people's memories and experiences are different. They remember Osama Bin Laden.

In the end, they will have to forfeit their efforts to discredit the foreign policy credentials of Barack Obama and resort to a domestic policy strategy, most likely arguing that they would have created many more jobs than Barack Obama and would have done a much better job with the economy. They are slow to give up their perceived long-lasting advantage as the stronger Party in foreign policies. Barack Obama has successfully taken that issue out of their hands.

..but it is much easier to do when they are perceived as the "DaddY" Party, and the ones most capable of keeping us protected. That is no longer the case and they know it. The more they talk about it, the more obvious it becomes to more voters.
