Do you think politicians make better decisions if they listen to actual constituents, outside of the DC bubble of rich people, lobbyists and other politicians? If so, do you think you might make better decisions if maybe you saw how people outside view events rather than just listening to news produced within a corporation that probably has a direct interest in how much of the news is presented? The news is no longer a business of independent journalists who have no external pressure on them. Every major media corporation in the US is part of a larger conglomeration of businesses that do everything from food production to entertainment, and there is an associated impact on other parts of the conglomeration that changes based on just how the news is presented.
