Did it work? Hell no it didn't.

People literally argued that if Bush won it'd get worse and we'd get someone far better. Obama, because he has to work within the confines of the constitution, and isn't a revolutionary, was handed a damn horrible mess and he's done a pretty good job repairing all the BS. There are still a lot of things that need to be done. Dodd-Frank, for one, doesn't go far enough. But it's better than not having it.

Say it was Sanders.

"Bernie Sanders is a corporatist sellout who voted for Obama's giveaway to the insurance companies" (ACA).
Seriously, this place would be full of posts like that. The people who hate HRC at DU are the same ones who have shit on the first (progressive, Democratic) Black president for the past eight years. They claim to be Democrats but never sport any.

Exactly. And even if they don't hate them before hand, the millisecond the person has to actually govern read: compromise, this place will turn on him/her like a pack of rabid gophers.

This is why despite the nobility of their purported beliefs, no one wants anything to do with them.

Even if I were a Hillary supporter, I certainly wouldn't be on the internet bragging about how she is cruising to the nomination, and calling other Democrats whiners because they want to see an election instead of a coronation.

So, if some other democrat runs, they (republicans) will still be obsessed with beating her.

It will help democrats overall. For those who won't be happy unless Warren runs, I have this to say: we need good people in the senate too.

If we've learned nothing from the republican controlled congress, we should have learned that no matter who is president, they are severely hindered when congress is controlled by the republicans. Regardless of who wins the presidency, we need control of congress. We need both, but congress is the more important.

A whole slate of unknown candidates-- Joe Blow, Jane Doe, Mary Kay, John Jay, all political novices vying for the Presidency and for the affections of the Democratic machine, which has already decided it wants Hillary. So then they decide to go 3rd party, but a vote for them is a wasted vote, because a vote for them is a vote for Republicans!

Bold and to the point - I have been saying this all day - I have never been to that other site but I have heard enough here to seek
answers as to why?

I thought DU was - Democratic Underground, also known as DU, is an online community for U.S. Democrats. Its membership is restricted by policy to those who are supportive of the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates for political office. DU was established on January 20, 2001, the day Republican George W. Bush was inaugurated president.

We are a diverse community where everyone debates issues..but today..not so much - too many comments seem veiled agendas..too far right for me....

We will have a primary - we will hear the issues discussed...we have 18 months...what up?????
