They attacked Senator Brown's anti-TPP position.
Ed Rendell repeated one Third Way talking point after another while Tweety couldn't wait to interrupt Senator Brown.
I know Rendell and Tweety are DINOs.
But my God, did MSNBC have to do such a one sided cheerleading session in favor of the TPP?
Tweety said four times if these trade deals are so bad why have we gained a net number of jobs since they signed NAFTA. Sherron tried to say it was because of a natural increase in the population (market size) but Tweety basically wouldn't allow him to explain himself.
Any Democratic politician (HRC) that doesn't come out against the TPP will lose!
I will be happy for them to lose.

Tweety is a Clinton cheerleader (And, of course, so is Rendell) so it's not a big surprise that they're carrying water for a trade deal mostly done under her watch as Secretary of State.

(31,849 posts)I doubt millions of voters could accurately describe any issues around TPP, other than possibly say, "Yeah, I heard about this TPP thing ... I heard it was bad."
Sad, but likely true.

(41,146 posts)are doing- like that's normal, balanced, representative and healthy? What about Michigan, Tennessee, Atlanta, Ohio, Miami, Kansas City, St. Paul, Dayton, Camden, Cleveland, Buffalo, Baltimore and Philly- in other words, the rest of the Country! Matthews also never mentioned how DC- NoVA's prosperity is from military, defense contractors and weapons manufacturers, the NSA surveillance apparatus and K Street lobbyists. Sherrod Brown hardly had a chance with those two and the set up. I've learned more about Rendell in the last couple years and he was off MSNBC for a while. He's not called 'Fast Eddie' for nothing as PA friends say.

(50,983 posts)I was sort of shocked that Tweety defended the TPP as he did, so vigorously.

(41,146 posts)best but it was a stacked frame- typical. People should watch Ed Schultz who is much more blunt about TPP and other impt. issues for MSNBC. They should move Ed's slot up an hour or two, and repeat it-IMO.
