I was on a jury yesterday and that was the alerted post. To me it was a big ????????
From the jury results, I assume it's fairly derogatory. My question is Why and what's the correlation between those words and being gay? I thought I had heard just about everything but apparently not..

(28,749 posts)It either an accusation that someone is gay, and that being gay is somehow a negative (what's so wrong with that?)
Or an attempt to "out" someone if they aren't out?
I don't have a ton of context but I can see how it could be offensive to the LGBTIA community here.

(1,364 posts)I can see you obviously don't get it. Here's some more help. To a gay person, a Log Cabin Republican is the type of person who is a Rethuglican while all the Rethuglicans hate them and revile them, while at the same time taking their hapless contributions. It's a hate yourself postition.

(28,749 posts)As a long standing member of the LGBTQIA community, I see self loathing and hate quite often in our communities younger members and I work with people to help them through it rather than mock them.

The post might have been alerted on for calling someone out.
Or for calling a Dem a Republican.
Depends on the context of the post.
