Obama Signs Order Requiring Attendance at Gay Weddings

WASHINGTON – President Obama touched off a firestorm of controversy today by signing an executive order requiring all Americans to attend at least one gay wedding each calendar year. “The right of same-sex couples to marry must be supported by all Americans,” the President said, “and now, by law, it will.” According to the order, all taxpayers must include with their federal tax returns evidence of their attendance at a gay wedding, such as a napkin personalized with the couple’s names; taxpayers who fail to do so will be required to purchase a five hundred dollar gift on the newly established federal gay wedding gift registry. The executive order drew howls of protest from Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex), who told Fox News, “Unless this order is overturned, I’m going back to Canada.”
