A lot of smiles and chuckles on the News networks this morning

Nepal was just hit with a devastating earthquake (1000s killed) and what do I see on the news networks like BBC World, CNN, MSNBC, etc is a lot of smiles, laughter, chuckles leading into the Earthquake story. Yes, once the reports of devastation start, the commentators, news readers, etc quickly become semi-serious, but once they pause between stories more laughter and smiles on small talk. And on CNN, the Bruce Jenner story gets about equal coverage as the Earthquake.
