Can you pass this practice police test? If so, you might have a career, Mr. and Ms. America...
I took this and scored 28 out of 31 (90%), due to some dumb mistakes. I don't think you have to go far to make them

(333 posts)But I would argue with them about two answers they say are wrong. My answers could also be considered correct. For instance on number 9 "am" is spelled wrong as they spelled it "pm" (It says it happened early in the morning and pm is not morning). Also on number 8, we have no idea how many people the witness is talking about so it could be "they're" as in "they are staying at a local hotel." My third wrong answer is legitimately wrong.

First, this is supposed to qualify one for formal law enforcement training? More likely it was a good administrative assistant or para-legal screening tool.
I would have thought there would be some psychological evaluation tools and outright statutory related questions, but I guess they just wanted to see how reports would be carried forward and who might have depended on a calculator.
Based on what salary structure police are paid in my municipality (it takes 6 steps to reach the $40/hour range) this was amazing, but a definite waste of my time.
Still
. given what comments are on DU, I don't see any ex-cops weighing in.

(10,749 posts)That's eighth grade level, which is pathetic. And some of the correct answers were wrong.
