first he was invited as he has been many times before and similar situations.....secondly, he has brought great comfort to grieving families, and in my lifetime he has been a fighter for civil rights..

So tell be...what makes you such an expert on what the good reverend has done or should do?

It's the same thing he goes into a community makes a good speech form a large March and then nothing happens after that.As a black person I think there needs to be new younger leadership

I have great respect for Rev. Sharpton...I grew up in the civil rights movement and saw the reverend lay his life on the line may times.....there are no young leaders out there to take his place.....let me know when you find one..

i get sooooooooo fucking sick of people ridiculing/criticizing Al Sharpton -- especially those who sit on their asses and add NOTHING to the many causes.

during Ferguson. Their challenge is get national exposure. If the media allowed them to have their say on a broader stage the result would be an entirely different conversation. The mis-deeds of the past decades cannot be allowed to be aired in public, especially when the press has been absent from their duty to investigate and report truthfully and accurately.
