I keep wondering how much acid one needs to do to come up with that sort of world view.

14. I saw a good movie last week: Child44

The main theme of the movie was that there was no murder in paradise, according to the communist Soviets. They alleged that murder was a result of capitalism. The movie was about a string of murders in the Soviet Union that, if known or admitted, would embarrass Stalin. The protagonist set out to solve the murders.

The idea that there were no rapes in the Soviet Union meshes with the idea that there was no murder in paradise. In other words, utter bullshit.

I recommend the movie. It starts out somewhat slow but builds momentum as it goes along.

Andre Chikatilo (sp?). His crimes happened in Soviet Russia, and the men investigating them had to go to a great deal of trouble to convince their superiors that the crimes were the work of a serial killer, because those sorts of crimes only happened in the decadent West. I think this man you know is making that shit up, although he might not be aware of that fact.
