Why do people of all color---riot, burn and destroy things after a sports championship?

What makes people riot when something good rather than bad happens. Your team wins the World Series, you're supposed to be happy and I'm pretty certain you are.

What makes you want to smash things up and flip a few cars?

Part of me thinks just that it's acceptable in those situations? I mean nobody would be the first person to turn over a car, but once you see other people doing it maybe you think "hmmm I could do that." That makes sense with looting to me (I don't know that I would ever want to turn over a random car) - "Hey that guy just got a free TV. And I am out of AAA batteries . . . "

But that doesn't seem like a strong enough reason to me.

Just silly, imo. I don't really think there's any justification for it.

I think there's some justification to the riots like in Baltimore right now. Some folks are hurt, angry, upset, desperate, and rioting may be one outlet to express their anger. I don't 100 percent agree with fighting violence with violence, but I think I understand some people's motives. These people are part of the movement, and I can respect those who are fighting for the movement.

That being said, there's some folks who are just rioting for the sake of rioting that has nothing to do with the movement. This I cannot support. It's hard to tell who's in it for the movement, and who's in it just to clown around.
