Texans support for universal coverage surprises doctors

Houston Chronicle in the paper today
in the Business Section Section D1

Not only do the vast majority of Texans think having insurance is important for their families seven in ten also want health care coverage for everyone.

And they are willing to pay for it

First of its kind study
Texas Medical Center commissioned Nielsen to poll 1000 Texans over 18 variety of topics
50% said health care was very important ...absolutely essential and 33 % said very important only 5 % said not important

in addition 70% said it's important for the NATION should have UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE with another 36% saying it very important

They are willing to pay for it and think employers should too

Democrats if you want to win Texans....talk HEALTHCARE for ALL

and GOP if you want to lose Texas talk getting the government out of healthcare

Texans want the Government to give Universal Healthcare ....that's the winner
Sudy conducted by Nielsen by Texas Medical Center

I won't go so far as all 50 states would poll this way, but I'd bet 75% of them would.
