Rep.Elijah Cummings has been a beacon of light

in Baltimore during the riots and it's been an emotional roller coaster for him.I've watched him during this struggle and he's made me cry along with him.He obviously loves his constituents and his commitment to them is outstanding. I just want to acknowledge his hard work.

Cummings has so helped keep the peace and his speech just now was heartfelt....he has spent so much time on the street he must be exhausted yet he keeps going....

Baltimore has an excellent representative in Elijah Cummings. Great man.

7. I think Elijah Cummings' presence really ties in the current protests w/the civil rights of the 60's

protests. There is something special about listening to him. There is the positive improvement of things, in that he is now a highly respected Congressman and there is the negative aspect where many AAs are still fighting the same fight.

PLUS, he totally handed Issa his ass during the hearings.
