You all will have to vote for her. Another Republican in the White House is not the way you all want. More wars and less gun control!

(149,624 posts)Gov. O'Malley of Maryland will be declaring soon, and we already have Bernie Sanders.
So.
Relax.

(5,704 posts)as a Democrat. I have no idea who O'Malley is!
It just seems to me that Democrats will not run against Ms. Clinton as a lot of people feel it is her time! I am sure if she gets elected, she will do an excellent job as President, just the dynasty thing does not go well with me.

(53,032 posts)It doesn't seem like it. All of this was explained to you in the other thread, yet for some reason you claim not to know what is going on.

(5,704 posts)You have to vote for the person who represents you!
To my knowledge only Hillary Clinton is running, do not have any idea if any one else has thrown in to run! Apart from Bernie Sanders who is an Independent!

(12,081 posts)If Bernie were running third party Democrats would be all over him calling him a Ralph Nader. Oddly enough they still are calling him a Nader even though he is not running third party. He is not running third party. He is running for the Democratic Party nomination. He did so as to not hurt the Democratic Party. What more does he have to do? Swear his undying loyalty to the party? Swear that he will fall in line with the DNC? Swear that he will be a centrist and pragmatist? I'm glad he is not beholden to the party. The American workers, the middle class, the working poor, and those living below the poverty line need a Democratic Socialist, someone who will fight for them and not for the super rich.

(5,704 posts)Engage in electoral reform. Every four years it is the same old, who can raise more money to get elected. That has to stop, I have not seen anyone rallying for the poor, it is always the middle class. Who is advocating for the poor and social services?
liberal_at_heart
(12,081 posts)He wants to increase funding for Social Security. Not many politicians from either party advocating for that. He is also truly advocating for the middle class. Most Democrats pay lip service to the middle class but Bernie actually does fight for the middle class.
akbacchus_BC
(5,704 posts)Won't he have to go through all the primaries and who will be funding his campaign? And when it comes to the Super Pac, will they endorse him or will they endorse Mrs. Clinton?

(12,081 posts)have seen a dramatic economic decline in the US for the past 20 years. I will only vote for candidates that truly do fight for the people. If Hillary is the nominee I will not vote for her.
akbacchus_BC
(5,704 posts)democrat, I hope you will vote for her. One less vote is a vote for the republicans. Am sure you do not want a Republican to be elected. With the tea party people gaining ground and those republicans who want you to pull yourself up by your boot straps, they are not electable.

(12,081 posts)wages in this country and most Democrats are doing nothing to stop it. I will not stand by and vote for yet another Democrat who sides with corporate business leaders over the average American worker who is struggling to feed their family.

(5,704 posts)Republican President will change course? No, republicans support big business and they were the ones who got American in the shit it is in. Any Democrat except for the few assholes who voted against medicare, should be trusted.

(5,704 posts)remember that if you do not vote, it is a vote for the opposition. Exercise your civic rights and vote, do not stay away from the polls. I once did that I regreted it. Christy Clarke got in but it was not only my vote, people in BC were fed up and stayed home!

(5,704 posts)a country of over 440 million people have only two parties?
That is very surprising and then you elect people who are not good looking for instance Kuchinich. He would have been a great President, And then Edwards fell by the wayside. Republicans do the same shit but they are not accountable only Democrats. That is not fair!

(5,704 posts)around the world. A republican being elected is not a viable recourse. Even if you have to hold your nose and vote for a Democrat, a Democrat in power is better than any republican. Republicans do not care about poor people, they want to reverse all the progress that President Obama has made.
