(765 posts)One is a medical procedure that women can have performed to end a pregnancy, and the other is armed conflict. How are they related? I have no clue. I also don't believe the death penalty and pro-choice are in any way related. I am opposed to the death penalty, but believe strongly in a woman's right to choose. Right wingers say this makes me a hypocrite. I don't see it. How is a medical procedure in any way related to a person's views on war or the death penalty? The only way these two things could possibly be related is if you considered abortion to be the taking of a human life, which I do not.

(5,122 posts)They are related because so many are anti-abortion yet support our endless war. Life of a fetus is valued but the life of a soldier is of less value.
If you value the life of an unborn fetus how can you justify the death and destruction of war?
You're opposed to the death penalty, and probably war, but you believe a women has the right to choose. Makes sense to me unless you believe that a fetus is a fully formed human right from the start. Then it would be a contradiction.
