I actually listened to Tweety tonight on the way home, and he asked a profound question

How does the marriage of Gays affect the marriage of straight people? (paraphrased)

I think the grand idiot Tony Perkins was on with Congressman Franks and they (Tweety and Franks) chewed this idiot up and spit him out like a broken toothpick.

They've never had to explain or justify their position beyond "Gay = Bad" before, because nobody with standing ever called them out.

Now that they actually have to explain themselves, they've got nothing.

when most of the Christians I knew did just that. They led the lives they believed in. There were a few who tried to convert people, but most led by example and they rarely EVER mixed politics with religion.

if more people get married, some of them will have receptions to go with their ceremonies. This will further strain the number of available florists, dresses & tuxedos, caterers, and reception halls, therefore driving up the already high cost of weddings?

Which will, in turn, make Jesus cry.

Or something.

affect the ability of this type of Christian to adhere to what they believe? Just because they choose to select specific items to practice, why is there the insistence that all must do so?

In the context of Mitts latest imbroglio, it occurs to me RW Xtians are just trying to put an acceptable framework to their bullying and ostracizing of anyone different than themselves.
