CBS Evening News POUNCES on Romney's high school homophobic assault

on John Lauber, a junior when Romney was a senior.

I turned away from Al Sharpton on MSNBC and saw on CBS some of the very same visuals. CBS Political Correspondent Jan Crawford made the bullying assault story from today's Washington Post into a fairly long segment that ran near the top of the show.

Are the other national broadcast news reports doing the same thing?

Are you surprised at the coverage Romney's dark side is getting? I am.

1. I'm always shocked when they cover something like this affecting a REPUG....

Seems to me they usually bend over backwards making excuses for why these kind of stories are not "really" a story at all.

2. That's why he was almost in tears yesterday

after the POTUS made the historical announcement. He knew the next day that one of his skeletons were coming out of his closet.

Not surprised at the coverage, though more needs to be revealed.

the last while has been all about bullying.

5. This story needs more emotive detail that only the witnesses could bring

I hope we eventually see actual people who knew Mitt expressing actual feelings on our TV screens about how disgusting this behavior was. It needs a more immediate personal touch to nail the asshole.

IMO that would make a great visual in a third-party ad with a chair circle of witnesses to Mitt Romney's dark side.

Failing an actual picture of the haircut, a picture of Lauber before the haircut would suffice IMO. Viewers could use their imaginations

13. Apparently there are several witnesses that have come forward that have said it was really

bad, including one of the bullies themselves. I don't think this is going to go well for Romney, and it's not going away anytime soon. And of course it shouldn't just go away either.

6. ABC & NBC treated it like we shouldn't care what happened

when he was a boy. My husband & I were disgusted - they treated it as if it was "just a prank", ABC had an old friend and who laughed about it, and was very dismissive of it.

so is everything Willard Rmoney did in his youth

With this kind of coverage it sure paints a presidential candidate in a bad light.

11. NBC Nightly News just played the RMoney clip from the Fox interview.

Either RMoney was lying his ass off, or he was signaling someone in Morse code with his blinking.

14. I predict CBS will be told to lay off and this story will die, and

nobody else will cover it at all.
