of fiscal responsibility.
OK here is the story The Oklahoma Governors mansion is in desperate need for a lot of repairs. The level of work makes is impractical for anyone to be living in the mansion while the work is done. Mary Fallin agreed that, once the Legislative session was over, she and her pack (husband and six adult children) would move to a rental home so that the work could be completed. A really nice rental home was found and, at tax payer expense, new carpets and curtains were hung and security were added. Meanwhile, bids were put out for the work, contracts awarded and work orders issued. Everything is going according to plans until

All of a sudden a Fifth Wheeler is parked on the Governors mansion ground. The Fifth wheeler proceeds to hook up to the mansions electricity and water and somehow to the Oklahoma City sewer system. That means that tax payers will also be paying for the utilities for the fifth wheeler. Who the heck owns the fifth wheeler?

Fallins daughter, Christina. Apparently Mom bought it for her. Christina Fallin is rather notorious around her for getting married and divorced twice within 17 months. Of course the Oklahoma tax payers had to fund the security for Mom to attend wedding number one in Ireland.

Anyway, on with the story. Christina Fallin was told that she would need to move out when her mother moved to the rental house because no one could be staying on the grounds while the work was being done.
What happens next? The day before she is to move out, Fallin states that is would just be too inconvenient to move and so she is not. [So much for then money paid to fix up the rental house that she then refused to use. And Oklahoma as a $650 million budget shortfall.]
It is interesting that she made her decision right after her daughter was told that she would need to move.
What is also interesting is that, between Mary Fallin and her husband they six adult children, all of home appear to have set up housekeeping in the Governors mansion. Talk about public welfare.

(3,290 posts)referring to an Oklahoma State Governor and family or should it be a lower case "m" when used to refer to a citizen down on their luck and availing themselves of a government sponsored program designed to temporarily aid them.
