(57,936 posts)Meanwhile, our education system is a shambles and moving into privatization. That trend will deprive more and more children of good opportunities. Opportunity will become more and more a question of your parents' ability to pay extra.
Our parks and recreation need a lot of infrastructure repair.
Our sidewalks in Los Angeles are in terrible shape. The streets seem to get a lot of attention, but sidewalks are neglected. And now the city wants to make homeowners pay for the repairs to the city's sidewalks that are on public easements rather than make the repairs itself.
Our trains are overcrowded and in California sometimes actually using buses on some legs of a journey.
We have so many infrastructure repairs to make: bridges, roads, water delivery and storage, changes to our electrical grid that will help us share solar and wind energy efficiently.
And where does the money go? The cartoon shows just where it goes.
Meanwhile the stock market is unrealistically high.

It's tsunami up, very little trickle down.
