(115,681 posts)Du is weird right now, I've not been posting much and not reading a lot of threads due to nastiness and snarking.
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)including one post (that was hidden) that had a clear whiff of antisemitism. Or the usual personal attacks, I don't bother to alert on, that are posted on me regularly... sorry, there is something about piggies, some are more equal than others, to paraphrase George Orwell. This is not new... either.
By the way, I have absolutely no horse (except big money) in this race.
To pretend this place is not anarchic or nasty is just pretending. And you were quite nasty to the OP there. No, I won't alert on you, There is no use.

(154,021 posts)I am not sure if he is a he, or a she or an it.
You see I support Big Money. I am sure when the last vote is counted, my horse will win regardless of the name.
Yes, I am that cynical.

(95,337 posts)so why spend a year stressing during the primaries.
But I always appreciate a cynic

(8,352 posts)Big money goes around the world
Big money underground
Big money got a mighty voice
Big money make no sound
Big money pull a million strings
Big money hold the prize
Big money weave a mighty web
Big money draw the flies
Sometimes pushing people around
Sometimes pulling out the rug
Sometimes pushing all the buttons
Sometimes pulling out the plug
It's the power and the glory
It's a war in paradise
It's a Cinderella story
On a tumble of the dice
Big money goes around the world
Big money take a cruise
Big money leave a mighty wake
Big money leave a bruise
Big money make a million dreams
Big money spin big deals
Big money make a mighty head
Big money spin big wheels
Sometimes building ivory towers
Sometimes knocking castles down
Sometimes building you a stairway
Lock you underground
It's that old time religion
It's the kingdom they would rule
It's the fool on television
Getting paid to play the fool
Big money goes around the world
Big money give and take
Big money done a power of good
Big money make mistakes
Big money got a heavy hand
Big money take control
Big money got a mean streak
Big money got no soul...

(80,708 posts)So of course after that I went back over.
The idea of the board was to create a space where people of multiple political persuasions could discuss.
To be honest I forgot it even existed so I peeked in on it again to see if I wanted to actually create a profile.
It looks pretty dead with a few nutty conservatives floating around making bad arguments and a very few familiar faces from here. It doesn't look like a very productive space and I don't think it really lives up to what it's creators imagined.
I decided against it.

(154,021 posts)but once you do, it's easy.
the interface is ahem... minimalist. Which has it's charm. Things like bold and italics, are done with markdown language. It is not that hard to learn. If you need help, this is a handy guide to it. (I use it for my text files)

(39,215 posts)I used to read a lot of sites when W was in office.
You can give a look at Democrats for Progress while you're at it. They are relatively small, but civil, and the essays are good. You'll recognize some names.
