(114,904 posts)She has a big megaphone and could really help in propelling this issue to the forefront where it needs to be. In this case, her access to the media, or lack thereof, is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. The issue trumps that.

(11,833 posts)Hundreds of thousands of people denied voting. Minorities have to stand in longer lines and have fewer voting booths. Many violations of federal law. In North Carolina in some areas where there's supposed to be one voting booth for every 200 people, in some urban areas there's only one voting booth per 450 people.
Millenials, the most open minded and diverse among us, facing difficulties pre-registeing (at age 16 or 17) and also voting. In Texas (where she's giving the speech) you can't vote with a student id but you can vote with an open carry gun license.
