Bernie Sanders: The Moderate Centrist

Forget the labels thrown around without thought these days, what we are talking about is radicalism rather than political leanings.

So the question should be phrased as follows:

Which is the moderate stance, between a progressive and fair taxation system when compared to one which is designed to expand income inequality?

Which is the moderate stance, between allowing everyone access to education without throwing them immediately into a debt based system, or the one where you come out at 24 with $100,000 + of debt?

Which is the more moderate stance, one which prevents businesses from becoming too big to fail and one that encourages this by bailing them out, yet throws millions [about 4 million] out of their homes?

Which is the more moderate stance, the one that encourages equality for all or the one that denigrates women, strips voting rights and longs for the segregationist past?

Which is the more moderate stance, a stance that encourages religious freedom or the one that will allow religions to legally impose their dogma upon others?

Which is the more moderate position, the one that stands for democracy through campaign finance reform or the one that encourages Oligarchs to buy the elections?

Which is the more moderate stance, between working 40 hours a week for a livable wage or one that means having to have two or three jobs just to get by?

Which is the more moderate stance, a transparent and open government or one that negotiates trade agreements in secrecy?

I could go on and on but hopefully you get the point.

What we have an upside-down distinction between what is moderate and what is truly radical, if you believe that democracy is a radical concept, then perhaps Bernie is the radical in the room. This was the case when the founding fathers wrote the Constitution and laid the basis for full democracy when the Civil Rights Act was eventually passed, apparently many believe it is still the radical position.

If wanting a level playing field where everyone has a chance at a succeeding.

If wanting that all work is valued, from toilet cleaners to CEOs

If wanting that all have equal rights no matter their, gender, sexual orientation or color of their skin

If wanting that government is open, fair and democratic.

If wanting everyone to have the right to vote

If wanting these is radical communism, then call me Rosa Luxemburg.

Bernie Sanders 2016. The moderates choice.
