Man refuses to let gay stylist cut his son’s hair: salon boss fights back in best way possible

http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/man-refuses-let-gay-stylist-cut-his-son%E2%80%99s-hair-salon-boss-fights-back-best-way-possible10061

‘The man came up to me at that point and said: “I’m not being funny but did you just say that lad’s going to cut my son’s hair”, to which I replied “yes”.

‘He then said, “Well I assume he’s gay and I don’t want him cutting my lad’s hair so could you do it”, to which I said no because I’m gay as well.’...

‘I was so shocked,’ said Evans, the salon's Assistant Manager. ‘You don’t expect to be treated like that in this day and age. I’ve worked at the salon for seven years and have never experienced anything like that before.’

Salon sign Following the incident, Hughes yesterday erected a prominent sign (pictured) in the window of the business that says ‘If you are racist, sexist, homophobic or an a**hole … don’t come in.’

North Wales is about 8 miles from me.

Although I think this was a different North Wales since I've never heard of Prestatyn, so you may be correct.

, we have to fight the fascist brown shirts " on the beaches, in the streets and in our homes" no matter where they rear their ugly depraved heads. I paraphrased Winston Churchill there, only thing came to mind after reading this post and the subsequent sign. If we don't stop them at brown, there WILL be black shirts out there, and most of us know what that means.

My only requirement for a stylist is that they are competent at their job. All I care about is if they can do the job I am paying them to do.

What is the world coming to?? For one, it would be a better place if more people did as you do. Judge a person on their character and competency and not non-issues.

I didn't realize a friend of mine from the gym was gay until he was describing a terrible terrible end to one of his dates.

Of course that could just be an extension of my inability to notice when a woman is interested in me, up to an including when a prostitute tried to pick me up. Yes, I'm that oblivious to who would like to do what with whom.

He was harassed constantly called vile names. He constantly told people he was not gay. Guess what he really liked girls, the one he married is stunning. 35 years later still married to the same woman one of the friends from High School (cheer leader) definitely heterosexual.

My daughter's generation is much better than mine accepting of LGBT. Her best friend from High School came out as a junior in High School she supported him when he got blow back but she thinks she has gay-dar even though sexual orientation makes no difference to her. Sexual preference is no ones business unless they persecute others for sexual preference and people like my daughter need to turn off gay-dar.

Would you want a gay stylist in such close proximity to your kid? He'd probably do nothing but talk about how great his way of life is and hand him some pamphlets on how the ONLY way to live is the gay way. Oh wait, that's the evangelicals not gay people.

and the best hair cuts I ever got was by a guy who was gay. He moved away and I've been looking for a replacement for his talent for 35 or so years now.
Actually at 67 I still have most of my hair, no outright bald spots yet. If I live long enough I can see that I will ultimately go bald. I'm looking forward to living long enough to find out
