Bernie Sanders scares the living holy hell SHIT out of Koch Bros and friends, believe it.

No, Hillary wouldnt be their best friend, by any means.

But Bernie will be their enemy, count on it.

Stay healthy, Bernie...

I said in an earlier place here that he needs to have routine health checkups and he needs to keep in shape, because doing what he is doing is the toughest thing, mentally and physically of almost anything there is, especially considering he has to do it for over a year.

Hillary too, she needs all the same things.

I dont care about the health of any con running, fuck em, but I care about these two and in Bernie's case he has far less money, far less luxuries on the campaign, and a doctor might be a luxury.

But make NO mistake, if he became president, it would be a very bad day for the richest and most powerful people in this country, and they will do EVERYTHING to stop him.

He what he is always has been and always will be - as honest and straightforward as the day is long. He's also as clean as a whistle.

They have never seen a political figure like him. He's barely a politician at all in the modern sense of the word.

11. The Koch brothers own the Republican Party and are spending 850 million to buy the election

To them, this election is a business expense, an investment that may fail like any business.

Even if Sanders wins the nomination and the White House, they are not afraid of him. To even make them feel slightly concerned he would have to control The House and the Senate.

The President can not pass legislation. He can not raise funds.

We need a functioning government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial to worry the Koch brothers and their ilk. They still would lnot be afraid, they would simply change the way they do business to conform with different rules.

15. There's a lot a president can do even without congress.

Besides blocking any bills being pushed by the Koch brothers, the president has control of a wide assortment of agencies and cabinets. The koch brothers make their living on fossil fuels. What happens when the interior blocks them from using federal lands? How about appointing a head of the EPA that actually enforces the environmental laws already on the books and starts fining them for their messes. Then there's the FEC that can look at their dealings, and the IRS that can audit them for discrepancies.

Appointing people as heads of agencies that will work for the people and not for the corporations can have wide reaching effect without passing a single law.

Then there's also the courts, including the supreme court. Both Bernie and Hillary have pledged they will only appoint judges to the supreme court who vow to vote against citizen united in future rulings. That would cut the Koch brothers political activities out from under them if it succeeds. But it goes far beyond the supreme court. Appointing lower level judges who aren't corporate backers will have wide ranging effects on legal cases brought by and against corporations, giving people a better chance to take on these rich assholes when they get screwed over by them.

The president is also in charge of international dealings, such as the keystone pipeline which directly benefits the Koch brothers. You think that would get passed with someone like Bernie as president?

None of this even brings into account executive orders, which are limited in scope but wide ranging what they can cover. A well placed executive order on an ambiguous part of a law can really put a hurting on the bottom line of people like the Koch brothers.

The president can get a lot of stuff done without congress. They can get a whole lot more done with them. To retake congress we need to excite the Democratic base and win the states back by 2020 (which is fortunately a presidential election year) to overturn gerrymandering. The presidency isn't a figure head position beholden to the whims of congress. It's not called the most powerful position in the world for nothing.

14. They aren't scared.

They're too damn rich to be scared. What they do isn't about politics, it's about money and power - basically, making as much money as possible end up with them and having more and more power to do exactly as they please, at all times. They will put up one hell of a fight, because they've gotten used to the power and increasing riches, but they'll weather the storm one way or another.

It's their lackeys who are scared. If the ultra-rich end up on the defensive for a while, they're not going to be able to dole out the goodies to politicians, lobbyists and media as lavishly as they have for the past 10-15 years... Also, their extreme political tactics won't work anymore. If Bernie becomes President, he will call out the bastards for being bastards, very skillfully. He won't play their game as Obama has and Clinton did.

That's where the real fight is. Politicians, lobbyists and media. They're the ones who stand to lose out.
