For Al-Wulhayshi's replacement, as the leader of AQAP al-Raimi will have the power and glory of being the chief jehadist in Yemen. Then if he suffers the same fate as his former leader, he will have "died in battle against the infidels" for which he believes he will rewarded with a direct trip to heaven and possession of X number of virgins. Even if sane Muslims believe that these terrorists have been mislead and maybe even crazy, that is what they believe.
