(16,286 posts)guns to be regulated within militias, which could easily mean locked up in central locations where militia groups operate.
Thus since NOBODY will have a gun outside of a war, there are NO gun deaths, or very few.
Take years to get there, but we can do it.

(39,171 posts)have you ever read the party platform on guns?
We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans' Second Amendment right to own and use firearms. We believe that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation. We understand the terrible consequences of gun violence; it serves as a reminder that life is fragile, and our time here is limited and precious. We believe in an honest, open national conversation about firearms. We can focus on effective enforcement of existing laws, especially strengthening our background check system, and we can work together to enact commonsense improvements--like reinstating the assault weapons ban and closing the gun show loophole--so that guns do not fall into the hands of those irresponsible, law-breaking few.

I mean look at our own Government. Got a problem some where in the world bomb them.
How can we have a populous that knows murder is wrong when our government does it daily?

(10,877 posts)Certainly not inaccurate.
New data presented at the conference by a Dutch scholar, Pieter Spierenburg, showed that the homicide rate in Amsterdam, for example, dropped from 47 per 100,000 people in the mid-15th century to 1 to 1.5 per 100,000 in the early 19th century.
Professor Stone has estimated that the homicide rate in medieval England was on average 10 times that of 20th century England. A study of the university town of Oxford in the 1340's showed an extraordinarily high annual rate of about 110 per 100,000 people. Studies of London in the first half of the 14th century determined a homicide rate of 36 to 52 per 100,000 people per year.

Of course, once the NRA gets time traveled figure out, I'm sure they'll work on it. *Everyone deserves a big-ass gun to kill with! No matter when they were alive!"

And in most all these countries the citizens cannot own guns. They are just defenseless to the mad men waging wars in these countries.

You may not carry a firearm in a jail, prison, or detention facility. (S.C. Code Ann.§ 24-13-440.)
You may not carry a firearm on school premises (including day care and preschool facilities), in law enforcement offices or facilities, in court facilities, at polling places on election days, in churches or other religious sanctuaries,or in hospitals or medical facilities. (22,271 posts)about guns, who hoard them, who are obsessed by them, IMO, are the LAST people who should be allowed to have them.
I swear this is a new phenomenon. I grew up around hunters, they never hoarded guns. Yes, they may have had different guns for different game but they didn't obsess about them. They stored them properly, UNLOADED, away from the reach of children.
Today, thanks largely in part to the NRA (the faithful servant of the MIC) and people too stupid to be trusted with sharp objects, much less a firearm are squarely to blame here. No, not everyone should have a gun. How many examples do we need?
Edited from: "they never hoarded buns" to "they never hoarded guns." Don't you just love a good typo? LOL!
