All this negativity will NOT draw voters to the polls in 2016.

Can we hear more about what is good about our favorite candidates and less about what we hate about someone else's candidate? Can we get a thread that applauds a Democrat or a Democratic achievement without someone making the very first post snide/critical/skeptical/disillusioned? Can we act more like the candidates themselves, who are being nothing but supportive of each other and their party and their constituents?

Can we at least pretend that we are proud of our party and ready to give our all in the fall of 2016 to make sure that Bush/Cheney 2000 never happens again? If not, then the voters will stay home in 2016, and we all know who that benefits.

Negativity helps only the Republicans. Solidarity. Refuse to be divided and conquered.

1. Perhaps the meme of 'inevitability' has a bit to do with it. At this point, what does it matter

3. The only thing that Hillary has going for her

that puts her numbers so high are two things, one, she is a woman and a lot of people would like to see a woman president. two, name recognition. She has been running for the Presidency since Bill took the oath of office all those years ago. Hardly enough to win me over. I want change and I want it now and I know I won't get it if I continue on the path I'm on which is to go along to get along. Fuck that noise I want change and Bernie is that vehicle I've connected my wagon to that offers that change.
Bernie doesn't have any negatives and Hillary hardly has any positive

4. I'm not going to pretend I'm proud of my party

when it's nothing to be proud of.

Its front-running candidate is a finger-in-the-wind centrist, and several of its legislators today voted for a trade deal for the 1%.

Negativity is what you call it; I call it waking up.

7. Don't laugh. If the wrong candidate wins, a pretence will be necessary to cast the aye vote.

That's what this is all about.

A hope that the Third-Way right, onside with the TPP and ongoing WoT, can get enough guilt votes from "the left" so tweedledee in the other party doesn't win.l

This little microcosm of the electorate , and we are , seem to be in three camps;

1. I'm all in for Hillary , but in the unlikely event Bernie wins the primary , will support him
2. I'm all in for Bernie , but if Hillary wins I'll support her rather than let a Repub win
3. I'm all in for Bernie , but if Hillary wins , the DLC corporate whores can go fuck themselves.

10. It's reality , not negativity. Deny it if you like but it's all too obvious to many here.

Yes, one of the many differences between Democrats and Republicans is that Dems don't campaign negatively, with personal attacks. Republicans, since Newt Gingrich graced our congress, have little left to campaign on but attacks on their opponents, sometimes disgracefully personal, like the Swift Boating of John Kerry. Democrats have taken, not so much the high ground in campaigning, but the only sane ground. Let us proudly continue to occupy it.

I had changed my party affiliation earlier this year so when Bernie announced I switched my registration back to Democrat so I can caucus for Bernie but I won't pretend I'm proud of the democratic party. That would make me a hypocrite and a liar, and I despise that trait in anyone. I can't be that way. It just doesn't work for me.

speaks volumes about what our party has done the last 40 years.

Actions have consequences. Even for political parties.
