It's time to really listen to Bernie Sanders

<snip>
Just the other day, he did the unthinkable when he asked the Department of Defense for an honest reckoning of fraud within their bloated, secretive bureaucracy. You know, the "Big Daddy" DOD, also known as the 618 billion-dollar behemoth that perennially defies financial audits ('cause it could be a bit complicated, the DOD claims...) and represents 37% of all military spending globally, outpacing the next seven countries combined military budgets.

Sanders is daring to ask for some accountability. What kind of commie blasphemy is this?

After the Great Recession, Wall Street has more than just recovered, it appears like it's chasing anabolic steroids with espresso shots as it continually boasts record growth and mountains of corporate profits. So, with great audacity, Bernie has proposed a small tax on speculative trading to help further eliminate the nation's deficit and debt.

Sanders is asking the rich to pay their fair share as they continue to amass excessive wealth. How crazy is that?

Again what a breath of fresh air Bernie Sanders is. I do believe barring some unforeseen fuck up he be our next President

Reading this OP this morning and watching the video you linked us too has me on a high I've not been on in a long long time. I don't ever want to come down, ever.
Thx

Eight years ago it became a bigger fight for me than its ever been before. I now have a grand child and with that my whole world changed. Its not about me anymore, its all about her.

and then you get to see them give the same answers and squirm -----------------------its not like ------------yep your correct----------------not until after 2007-2010----------did Greenie acknowledge anything was wrong.

This video should be brought back unto the U.S. Senate floor by Sanders and be asked to be presented onto the record again for this TPP debacle which is unfolding as we speak.
So that Turtle lips can object with his supporters ,so that he can say like he has said that this "deal" will pass, why do you think defense is being discussed in the Senate now----------because of TPP.

They can't have it as a stand alone measure they will tack it unto defense or something else , and if democrats vote against, the DINO's and the right wing little fascists called republicans they can have there political talking points for the next electioneering tactic.

Because these hypocrites like the Greenspan's and others of the this world are nothing more than mouth pieces of deceit and deception.

I can't wait for the debates----------------why don't we have debates -------------now, like Sanders is asking the DNC --------------------now-----------------why not?

Because there may be some proverbial butts being handed to them on the platter.

Go Bernie------------always consistent----------------ISSUES-------ISSUES

that is running for this position, do not quite fully realize that this man has more integrity on the ISSUES, than anyone------------and some are trying to position themselves in that same vein------------and they are lost.
He will take them down one notch at a time-----------because they really have one clue-----------they are in trouble-------they can't hide.

The debates held now would willow out the has been quickly and that is why they are not jumping on this early debate issue-------they are terrified.

I have been asking the party to do this now-----------debate now-----------why not---you want my money , I want something in return.
We did it in school, we went in being prepared-----------this is not a game for polls and ratings------------this country needs a good honest and fair debates------------let us ask the questions-----------instead of a talking point question, from a talking head-----------we are not stupid------some are-------------but we are not

Thank you

not because I support Sanders, because I do.
But the only time, I think I saw her being herself, was when she looked at Ron Johnson - R during the hearings and deaths of the ambassador and basically said you are an idiot and all you are trying to do is to gain political points off there deaths, when you and others in your party (republican) cut funds to protect the embassies, and go around blaming others for your / there dereliction -------------- in my opinion.
If she had that mask off most of the other times she would be formidable

Jun 2015

Not for the content as much as for the source AND for the low number of idiotic comments.

As an Alabamian, I can tell you that the al.com website is rarely the place one goes to for progressive commentary. In addition, simple non-controversial articles get the Cletus brigade coming out of the woodwork to comment on the evil Obama and libruls. It is remarkable that the comments - for the most part - aren't as whacked out as I expected. There is a running joke in Birmingham that if you read the comments on al.com you lose brain cells. Well, I read the comments against my better judgment and they weren't as incendiary as I expected. Perhaps Bernie is more attractive across the spectrum than I had imagined. Interesting....

And here one that references Bernie's comments about the Charleston shooting in an email to his supporters:

I'm sure that the prayer vigil was hastily organized and it is unfortunate that the two groups wound up so close together. But I don't see any reason to think that Bernie was being disrespectful. He may not have been aware that the prayer vigil was going on.

He was in DC near the Capital. He did not go to SC and deliberately hold a rally near a prayer vigil. He was answering a question from the press at a press conference in DC where he works. All due respect to the prayer group but he did not mean to interrupt their group - may not even have known that it was over there.
